picture16If you want to gauge the efficiency of any kind of beauty product, the first thing that you should do is to analyze its ingredients and vitamin components. By examining the raw elements and the nutritional components of the cosmetic products, the consumer will be able to tell if their claimed effects are real based on their compatibility with the effects of the individual components. In the case of consumers who want to find the best anti aging cream in the world, they should look for one important element in the process of maintaining one’s youthful glow – Vitamin A.

The theory behind the claim

In a recent study conducted by Dr. Reza Kafi of the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor of Stanford Medical School, and their colleagues, they claimed that applying creams, lotions, and other cosmetic products which have vitamin A can effectively reduce the wrinkles that are associated with the natural process of growing old.  In addition to that, a product with Vitamin A is the best anti aging cream in the world since it also promotes the production of chemical compounds that are needed by the skin cells.

According to the researchers, wrinkles and other signs of aging will be prominent in areas that are often exposed to the sun. “Human skin not exposed to the sun also ages but less dramatically,” Dr. Kafi points out. “In intrinsic, natural or chronological aging, skin loses its youthful appearance by becoming thinner, laxer and more finely wrinkled,” he explains.

Study proves the efficiency of vitamin A

Researchers assessed the efficiency of products with Vitamin A as the best anti aging cream in the world using a study which involved thirty-six elderly individuals. They asked their participants to apply lotion which contains 40% retinol. The participants were asked to apply the lotion to one of their arms, three times a week for six months.

During the course of the research, the researchers measured the effects of the lotion with Vitamin A based on the wrinkles, the roughness, and the general severity of aging on the arms of the participants.  The scale from zero (none) to nine (severe) was used in measuring the level of aging during different points of the research. Biopsy specimens from both arms were also taken. Based on their analysis, the Vitamin A component deliberately increased the production of glycosaminoglycan and procollagen in the skin.

Why the study matters

The study proved that Vitamin A is an essential component of the best anti aging cream in the world. As stated by the researchers, “Topical retinol improves fine wrinkles associated with natural aging.” Dr. Kafi further explains that the induction of glycosaminoglycan and the increase in collagen production are probably responsible for wrinkle reduction.
